The unique structure found in our carbon filters is well suited to absorb chemicals. The 5 micron filter found in the Tap Master Jr. provides 99.9% particulate reduction at 5 microns and features a special 15 micron prefiltration wrap to promote long filter life. The certified 1 micron carbon block water filter found in the Tap Master Jr. PLUS can remove up to 99% of lead, Cryptosporidium, and Giardia in addition to chlorine, turbidity, VOCs, TOCs and other chemicals which may be present in your tap water.  To promote long filter life the Tap Master Jr. PLUS features a dedicated 15 micron prefiltration wrap to capture larger sediment particles before they can interfere with the 1 micron carbon block matrix. This countertop water filter requires a filter change only once every 2,500 gallons of water, or 1 year before depending on the sediment content of your tap water.

Part of what makes our Chemical Fighter water filter so advanced is the use of compression disk channel blockers to force the incoming water to come in contact with more filtration media than the competition's loose carbon or thin wall carbon block filters. The Tap Master Jr. Chemical Fighter requires a filter change only once every 4,000 gallons of water.
